Media Power for Youth (MPY), NH’s nonprofit leader in health-focused media literacy education for children, has launched its first crowdfunding initiative at Generosity.com.
MPY provides training and curriculum to teachers, parents and all those supporting youth to help kids make safe, healthy decisions through smart use of media. MPY’s curriculum has been proven effective in helping youth develop resistance skills to violence, bullying, substance abuse and unhealthy foods. Media Power for Youth’s Generosity.com campaign, which went live this week has the goal of raising $20,000 to move its substance abuse prevention curriculum online.
According to Media Power for Youth board member, Susan O’Neil: “Educators in New Hampshire and throughout the country are asking Media Power for Youth to provide our substance abuse prevention curriculum for their classrooms. Now, with your donations, we will be able to deliver this powerful program online for educators, families and communities everywhere.”
